Sorry but I needed to vent a little bit so I made this thread.

Until shadewalker gets deleted from the game or is completely changed I will never touch melee again.

In 0.3 I convinced myself that there was no way shadewalker would remain so deadly in 0.4. The devs said once upon a time that they wanted to fix melee, and this ability is so deeply comically the opposite of that. They must have misplaced a decimal.

I thought it will definitely not survive 0.4 patch either.

And what is even more crazy, they increased the frequency of appearance of that stupid fuck.

I'm sure you'll figure stuff out as you go and keep going.
Every time I see one, I quit the map and put in a different one.

I can play this game for hours, having fun the entire time even when I'm struggling on gearing, or making a character work.

But when one of these shows up, even if I bother to stay and kill it, it drains ALL of the fun instantly. The hours of preceding fun forgotten, I just want to turn the game off and not come back for days. It's the only thing in the game which makes me feel that way.

My mind is blown that it received no changes from .3 as well.

A mod that you can't run from due to teleporting, a mod you can't see on the ground because it's dark and under every other piece of visual clutter that kills in 2-3 seconds if you're lucky. A mod that disables regen and has like, 2 hyper-specific mitigation sources in all of the game that very, very few builds will be able to use.

And on top of all of that, it can appear with things like Anamamu's Void. I refuse to believe this was designed on purpose, it -has- to be bugged, right? Right??
Bump to this, I even tried using Consecrate in a futile attempt to counter it.

Does not work.

Locks my Infernalist Demon from even approaching abysses :|
