Sacred Reservior Map boss disappear

Cleared the map all the way to the boss and was fighting him with an abyss in the room. He just seemingly disappeared/teleported somewhere i am unable to reach him and I am unable to complete the map. This is especially frustrating as it was a temporal map I had to unlock by clicking temporal hourglasses in toher maps. The abyss also will not show as completed either despite no more mobs spawning. I tried quitting the game and going back into the map but the boss still is not here. The game also will not let me teleport out from the boss room as the boss encounter is still flagged as engaged. Screen show below shows the boss icon in the middle of nowhere on my minima as well as with the tab map open you can see he isnt even anywhere accesible.
