What's the point of the spells Totem???

I'm uber disapponted by the spells Totem. I wanted to do a hybrid druid dude, but I lost all Motivation.

Spell totems
- require 3 charges
- can be killed
- cast slowly
- Do NOT contribute to cast on crit
- Do NOT trigger on crit effects (even with Forced Outcome)

Unsless im missing any upside, these are a huge swing n miss
