Map resetting after death from Boss

Anybody noticed that the maps are resetting if you die on a boss with Abyss in it?

I was currently doing Rugosa, and died on the boss. Upon death, the entire map reset, lost all the Abyss's I was holding off til after the boss since I was there first, all minions also disappeared and a new layout was formed, however fog from new layout remained for undiscovered. This has been the second time it's happened, but I was able to report it this time since last time it happened I just went into a new map and didn't have data for the old.

Biome - Water
Affix - 4
Additional Tablets - Abyss / Spirits
Boss - Syvora
Server - US
