Issue linking account (have Steam, adding Sony)

As title implies, I went though the process, or at least the start of it.
Went to my account management page where ive got my email verified and am linked to steam. Click the connect button beside Sony. Page says wait on an email and follow that. Took a few minutes, clicked the link, which essentially was a yes/no confirmation. I click yes and I'm back at my account management page where it says we're linked now. Odd. Usually there's a forward to provider portal, api hook, token flip, etc, essentially I was expecting a sony hosted website to say "you wanna do this thing? you trust these GGG fellas?" to actually finalize the process - that never happened. I did of course hop on my PS5 and attempt to launch the game, where I was promptly told my free weekend was up despite purchasing EA last December. Meanwhile I've got browser plugins, multiple tokens for multiple PSN accounts and more cookies than Pepperidge Farm - but of course there's no disconnect/unlink button to try again in a clean and unfiltered session, so until I get a support response my account is just connected to... nowhere? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Anyone ever seen this? What'd you do? I logged a support ticket, and then I searched the forums - found multiple threads with stories almost identical to mine, all lacking a solution. I posted in one and got an alert saying my reply was removed because we don't necro threads, that's mainly why I'm typing this out here. By all means if anyone reads this and has any bright ideas let me know, else I'll update this if/when I do get it sorted I'll update this post so that future peeps can learn from my mistakes.
