Are they cheapskating us?

same as with 0.3 soon as the free weekend is over the huge network spikes are back, even over the weekend it wasnt great but it was playable.

Now its full 2 second freezes all the time, are they turning down the servers after the free wekend is over or what its completely broken

its not my internet, no other game has any issues, the same pattern happened last season, it worked fine for a few days then it started.

season 1 and 2 i had no problems either, nothing changed on my end, and if i can play arc raiders battlefield etc, with great performance this game should be fine.

It's horrible. The game becomes completely unplayable. I've seen spikes up to 10,000ms... yes, 10s lag.

And it's not yours or my internet. I've tried all EU servers and everywhere it's the same. Some zones network is fine but then some zones I just give up and stop playing like right now.

Between regular crashes (and we are talking big boy crashes here, the game freezes completely and takes time to exit) and the ping which is like someone having a very high heart rate........yea, not a pleasant way to play. Thankfully, I think I am done with 0.4. Another trash league to throw on the pile.

Performance is "way better" because they cleaned up some CPU logic/bugs that was bottlenecking everyone.

I have a similar machine as you. My overall performance is worse. Yes, Peak performance is better. Stability went down the toilet for me. I've crashed more this season than the last 2 combined. I have new shader issues.

Prior to this, I could tweak my system settings as a workaround. Now more shit is broken. I would gladly go back to last patch performance. I felt the same as you for my first hour or 2 btw, I was hyped.

Also, the Networking issues are not just limited to "your internet". You are just making things up. I work QA in tech. I am not speaking out of my ass. 99.9% LOL. You need to expand your world views past your own personal experiences.

The amount of people that only have networking issues with this game is very concerning. Its a systematic design flaw.

Regarding performance: it's way better for me. However, I realized it was writing to all three of my drives, not just the one install drive. Once I made sure there was 100gig free on each drive, loading screens got a lot faster.

I haven't noticed much of a difference from 0.3 performance to this. I built my machine 5 years ago and I never use the best parts, so my hardware is probably a good 8-10 years old, technology-wise.

I've had less lock-ups where it freezes for 2 minutes and then slowly loads back in on the boss fight. Way less. But also haven't enjoyed the league nearly as much so I haven't had long play sessions.

it's not our individual internets' or the game servers that're the problem, it's the general internet and the routes a connection takes to reach the server which are congested or potentially being DDOS'd.
