No information anywhere on thorn

I know thorn is a custom type of HIT

But if I look on the web, there is some saying that conversion works , some that says it doesn't

there are some that says damage as extra work, some says doesn't.

Did we ever get any clarification at all on how it works?

"Mechanically, this works as if enemies are "hitting" themselves and triggers "all damage" effects back at them. Thorns damage is not attack damage or spell damage and is not affected by modifiers specific to those."

Hi, i've played mainly thorns the last patch and i'm leveling with thorns.

- YES, "Damage as extra works" (not only work, but it's one of the main source of dmg scale).
- YES! conversion work (avatar of fire, for example).

Any other question?
