Zolin & Zolina boss fight doesn't restart after dying in the fight.

I was going through the interlude and reached the Cuachic Vault. The boss fight started as normal. I killed Zolin first and ended up dying to Zolina. After respawning at the waypoint the boss fight does not start again. The arena barrier is not up, so I could walk out of the arena.
I tried to respawn at checkpoint, but the fight still does not start. I had to restart a new instance of the map until I finished the fight.(happened repeatedly)
