Cant get my first 2 ascendancy points

So i didnt want to do sekhema. waited until 42 and did trial of chaos, ascending to a shaman. only recieved 2 points. someone in my global said you have to do both at least once, so i went back to sekhema and completed my story barya. DID NOT RECEIVE MORE POINTS.

EDIT: apparently the points were there after completing sekhema, they just couldnt be used until after i talked to balbala, even though i had already used the altar
