Not getting max amount of Verisium ore

When holding down the X button non-stop to fully charge verisium ore, I don't end up getting the full amount the node displayed before charging.

Just before the bar is maxed out, it will disappear, and seems to not register that the charge should reach 100%, giving slightly less thatn it should after clearing the monsters.
