Hi Exiles. This is a work-in-progress build thread for getting helpful tips from other players. Specifically, need tips about which skills to use in each configuration:

So what I'm trying to do here in addition to standart thorns builds is: A) Arcane Surge and Kurgal's Gaze (Mana Based) B) Vaal Pact and Lucky rolls (Life Based)
For those who don't know PoB as good as Krillsons
• You can change the configuration from the upper right side to "Life Based" or "Mana Based", it will automatically swap both passives and items.

The usual idea behind thorns is to use a spear to apply multiple times your thorns damage each second. This is usually done with Warbringer for free armor breaking scavenger stacks.
The alternative idea is to use https://poe2db.tw/us/Matsya, for spirit reservation reduction, that is usually combined with tactician and will give you the option to run very high thorns damage increase and utility buffs. The build performance in all cases inconsistent. Boss damage may very between walking into continuous AOE skill and one-shot the boss, and waiting between stages, dodging red skills and getting one-shot yourself. The clear speed is mediocre and handling dots on you may be challenging. While completely viable for "completing the game", the build is not reliable to farm effectively at the end-game. ------------- However, right now thorns is very good as act-rush. You can put corrupted double socket items at ACT 1, hold the sprint button and end the game with absolutely any class. This is due to the fact that GGG considers the rune for 50 lightning damage irrelevant, and has no level requirement for it. This allows you to get 450 base lightning damage at ACT1. And scale it either with elemental or with lightning damage, and then multiplying it with multi-hit spear hits. Unfortunately the runes, the support gems, the unique and the corrupts make it impossible to be used as league starter. But for everything else this is the closest you get to "campaign skip". |

" This was a very informative answer, thank you very much. I tried configuring it with the "Sacrifice" aura and "Warcaller's Bellow" to make my minions explode, but it didn't work on paper, so I left it at that. I'm also so bored of playing PoE in general, so I'm playing other games right now, but I'll be returning to the "Zombie Detonator" idea in the next patch and trying to figure out how to sync the thorns with it, if there's a way.
