Minions gain energy shield when es based on max life mod on map

My minions seem to have more energy shield when my maps have the mod ''monsters gain energy shield equal to #% of maximum life''

i see it by having Tavukai equipped and having infernal legion on my summon raging spirits of enormity, they die slower when i have the map mod than when i don't
