GGG has a problem with Mechanics and Balance
" I'm hitting my point (again) with Endgame where I'm just debating putting the game down til the next patch. The Abyssal Lords are too frequent and are often more of an attrition fight to kill than bosses; as well that you're almost never fighting one, but sometimes 3~5~7 depending on Abyss vent grouping. The Bird Boss who summons the Tornado, it just does too much damage and is on screen for so long at times, you can't get near the boss if you're melee because it likes to hide in it. The Giant Colossos Boss is STILL broken for its animation and hitboxes from 0.1. Anything melee with it is a nightmare, and Ive had times if I throw my hammer as warrior, its just gone and I lose access to that move for the rest of the fight. Sometimes you'll just... die? Somehow? Suddenly? It's just like there's too much on screen and you can pidgeoned into a spot and can't get out. Which can be made worse by the fact that the Chaos Bombs just detonate regardless. > also with that, there's tons of Elemental Dmg reduc options for Armor users now, but still nothing for Chaos damage. So its great that I can actually be IN the fight now as melee, but if the Mob uses Chaos damage, my heavy armor is just wet paper. I don't understand how this was an oversight + on the tree there's nothing additional to reduce Chaos Dmg for Warrior or really any non-spell caster. Not too mention the map sometimes will just have odd angles that "visually" it appears you can walk straight through, but looking at the minimap, there's actually a wall there and you have to go around. The game is still great and i have almost 400 hours in it now, but god damn, I really hope 0.4 addresses more of these insta-kill mechanics plaguing the endgame. I would say putting the game down til they address balance is the best approach. Most people I know stepped away after the Boss on every map patch.
I like PoE2 more then 1, but am playing 1 because while its also imbalanced there are just more workable options from the player side to play how you want. PoE2 practically requires ranged OP Speedclear meta play at endgame Maps. As a tank/defensive minded player who plays in melee range, PoE2 doesn't have that figured out yet. |

they never had enough time and resources to do this.
0.1 we are happy. 0.2 is LS season. 0.3 is Surrounded Hat season. 0.4 would be the realm of druid. |

Yeah, GGG needs to address a lot of balancing for items, abilities and passives.
Unfortunately Poe1 and micro-transactions have priority. |
