Stuck in Vaal trials.

I jumped over a gap, to the exit side before going down for the trial(survive 1.5 minutes. I stepped on the pad from the exit side, and at the end of the trial the pad that I should go in with was still up, and the one I came from(the exit one) was down, glowing, but unactive.
