Hollow Palm Monk Spending Endurance Charges

Good Afternoon Exiles,

I am playing an Ice Strike Hollow Palm Invoker Monk and with some tweaks between build, I am generating both Power Charges (Combat Frenzy/Resonance) and Endurance Charges; and I could use some help.

If I keep things the way they are, I am not using the Endurance Charges, but I am hoping the community has an answer.

"How do I spend the Endurance Charges passively? Or is there a way to convert them to Power Charges without messing my Power Charge generation from Combat Frenzy/Resonance?"

I think I am going to have to pick one method, but I thought I would ask.

If you're igniting enemies along the way, you can use Ancestral Cry for some cool step action and it will consume your end charges to extend it's duration. You can also use a slam skill to make it better if it fits to your build. If you're not igniting, you can use a low-level Infernal Cry (low-level because of str) to empower your attacks.

Other good use of the end charges is Jagged Ground but you should use a slam for it.

Seems to me like the options for spending endurance charges are pretty light on at the moment.

I have tried a few different charge builds this season, they have all been kind of underwhelming in the end (in my humble opinion). Generators dont generate enough, or require you to jump through such enormous hoops with such heavy opportunity cost that it gimps the build in other ways.

That being said, maybe you can make it work, I'd love to be proven wrong. Do you have the spirit to slot in Charge Regulation? You could just use the endurance charges as a nice defensive boost, and get all the other benefits from it as well since it sounds like you can generate the other two charge types as well.

I've only been playing characters in the strength section, generating the endurance charges seem relatively easy, but without speccing into it on the tree, using them doesn't seem that useful on many builds, at least before endgame.

Warcries seems to be the best option, the options are pretty build specific, mostly offering something that is not useful or available to get from other methods. There are good options for fire or perhaps damage agnostic builds, not so sure about phys. Seismic cry might be good, I haven't tried it much yet, it's not available early on. Seems to be pretty similar to what boneshatter does, but maybe it is good for the aftershocks and knockback.

Totems also seem potentially good, but again, pretty niche. It could be used on non totem builds, just to spend them, but for no real benefit other than the spending buffs. The jagged ground support also requires specific conditions, and seems like it would be largely for utility, which is a lot of things to add, when slam skills get jagged ground pretty easily from other methods.

I feel like they might still be adding in some skills that use endurance charges in the future, perhaps when the new weapon types are added. Seems like charges now have potential to be very powerful at the top end, but are not as useful without speccing, since they don't have the intrinsic benefits.
