areas of corruption not showing as red fog when using controller

Unexplored areas on atlas map are not showing corrupted areas as red fog when using controller. Im having to log to character screen then switch to mouse and keyboard then go back to atlas map to see the red fog. im then setting a marker close to the corruption so i can remember where it is and then going back to controller.
