The collision of storm wave needs to be reconfigured the abyss holes, cracks small items on ground all of them stops the wave, making the positioning very critical which is very difficult with lack of visual clarity especially in delirious state and when mobs are swarming you

Yeah it's a fissure skill so it travels at ground and it makes sense it does not go thru the pit because it's hole in the ground but it's very annoying when there is a small enemy between the pit and wall or if the pit is located at narrow passageway.
The fissures from Entangle do travel around objects on surfaces often. The fissures from Storm Wave do not. Storm Wave will also be too large to even fit through tight areas and down or up stairs. It is very frustrating to have so many duds when it should work exactly the same way as Entangle. I haven't tried it this league, but does Volcanic Fissure have that problem, too? Please, GGG, fix it or be consistent. I don't care if it is about believability or not when one skill based on the same principles works one way and the other does not. In fact, it is not at all believable that steps or ramps would cause something travelling on the ground to be stopped entirely and repeatedly. Either make all of the fissures suck like this does when it happens often or fix it to actually be fun instead of extremely frustrating. Like I said, Entangle will go around the object, it doesn't just stop right in front of the player like Storm Wave. Thanks. (Oh! And why doesn't Wind Blast travel over objects that are clearly shorter than the player character. Does wind travel on ground surfaces in this fictional world?)

Actually, it doesn't make sense because waves follow the path of least resistance, be it in water or even sound. They don't just stop. But I understand that if it were a hole, they are not going to animate it going down the hole. However, it happens often when there is nothing in front of the player character at all. It's a real problem.
This actually applies to most fissure skills, although you say it doesn't as much to entangle but I still find it annoying how it can randomly hit unlucky angle and do 0 damage to mob standing right in front of me due to abyss crack or some stone on the ground or some awkward door or something else.

Even applies to the other monk skill falling thunder. Nothing like charging it up and then see it all waisted on some stupid object on the ground with a pack of monsters ready to eat me

actually kinda similar to annoying moment with sprints, you sprint and then stop running because of some vase or a chest lol.
