Opening Gold chest Character stuck

Character is unresponsive to commands given from keyboard. Clearly keyboard is functioning by typing this message. How do I fix this as I have hit esc and paused the instance so I do not die from adds?

Do I log out and back in and hope? I dont want to lose the map or xp.
