Blackflame Covenant (Sorceress)
|
I don't know if I am just being dumb or the tooltip to Blackflame Covenant is misleading. It states that it converts fire dmg to chaos dmg but nowhere it states it converts fire spells to chaos spells.
![]() +(X) Fire Spell Levels do not work anymore when using this even though they're still fire spells. Also when using Fire wall with Blackflame Covenant, the wall adds fire dmg and effect to attacks even though it should be converted to chaos? ![]() Kindest Regards, Aeniema Zuletzt angestoßen am 13.12.2025, 04:36:56

"Well, + level of fire spells should work, are you sure it doesn't for you? If it were generally bugged, it would be reported frequently. "It doesn't convert "Projectiles which pass through the wall deal 10 to 15 Added Fire Damage" to "Projectiles which pass through the wall deal 10 to 15 Added Chaos Damage", if you're asking this. Conversion is a damage calculation thing, it doesn't alter stats. When this added fire damage applies to fire spell projectiles, it will be converted to chaos together with its base damage. As for the visual effect, if it doesn't change for fire spell projectiles passed through the wall, this is likely because it's technically difficult to implemet. |

Yeah the extra levels don't apply to my fire spells at all. Soon as I take off Blackflame Covenant it's all fine. So like that's why I was confused if it was just a misleading tooltip or what because it does say fire dmg to chaos rather than fire spells to chaos spells.
With the fire wall, it does it with all projectiles. I tried frost bolts etc. Even Chaos bolt gets fire on it. So I dunno if it's just a visual bug for me or something more, nothing to really go from other than visual. Kindest Regards,

" These are not fire skills, try some fire proj skill. |
|
" literally in the picture I provided in OP is Firebolt... and what I was stating is that the added fire dmg from projectiles passing through still gets added fire dmg instead of chaos. It doesn't have to be a fire spell to pass through and get buffed either. ![]() Main issue I'm finding is that Fire Spells are not gaining their extra levels even though they're still classed as a Fire Spell. By reading what the tooltip says, it just converts the dmg.. not the spell. ![]() Kindest Regards, Aeniema Zuletzt bearbeitet von Aeniema#7678 um 20.09.2025, 11:32:08

+1 This still doesn't work and I'm astounded it made it past 0.3 unacknowledged
