If 20 mil dps builds exists why do you even keep trying to balance this game?
I joined a guy earlier who was doing breach boss runs with my monk and my summoner build.
On my minion build I have every damage node possible and a legacy +5 minion scepter with double attack speed and additional damage. Using lich for the aura, double curses and nettle ants I have about 800k dps when they're buffed with sacrifice. I though this was pretty good. I run around in boss fights for a minute or so and the spirits + spectres + undead do the thing. No issues with endgame stuff. This guy starts the fight and hits the boss about twice for like 40 million damage. With spark. It's not even a spell you can target things specifically with. Like why? This doesn't even make any sense you would change ANYTHING about how the mechanics of gems or ascendancies work if these type of builds exist. Before I did this I spent a good 3 hours trying to figure out why my monk was changed to make it so hard to get power charges.. once I figured it out (alternate hand of chalyula for snipers mark and combat frenzy) I thought I was doing pretty good when all of the planets align and everything crits I can hit a boss for like 2 mil. It's nothing compared to what some builds can do with zero sacrifice except spending some mana. This whole game is broken and I'm about to just stop playing it. i was hoping the right specters could achieve similar result with a proper muster setup when you pop pain offering.

Keep in mind those builds cost around 300 to 400 divines to be consistent and that doesnt Even gets close to the average people could achieve, Also You can tell those builds need almost perfect gear because people on those coments complain they get oneshot often or Even cannot complete a maps without dying.

He also had 7k life and 3k ES.. not to mention was blood mage so could buff up to 90k life which translates to damage.

This game will take some time before it has any sense of balance. But even then you're going to see builds that crush content. PoE is a game with so many dimensions that it's actually impossible to balance it. I think the general rule of thumb is if have to invest a ton into it, you probably should be rewarded with the ability to destroy the game.

Well op i believe the minion builds at the moment doesnt scale to be 1 shoting boses even with mirror gear. However bloodmages does scale dmg up nicely with high investment

the best advice I can give you - forget about balance in PoE (1 or 2)
And stop comparing yourself to others, just play the build you like - that way you will have way more fun from playing. PoE1 nowadays looks more and more like a fan-made fork server with tons of custom weird experimental stuff rather than original game with carefully thought out balance brough live to players.
