Monster Modifiers: Proximal and Shroud Walker
These are some of the worst monster affixes in the game hands down.
Proximal Tangibility: You just have to stand like an idiot right next to the most dangerous enemy in the game until you're close enough to attack it? Of course, this is even worse when it unleashes hell on you from some OP ability across the screen so you have to close the gap to even attempt to kill it in time before it gets you. Even worse, it will hide in a group with other proximal enemies and elites. Shroud Walker: Instantaneous lock on teleport one-shot. The elite will teleport right onto you with an attack prepared and then either kill you instantly or you just roll the dice and hope it doesn't. Abyssal mobs pre-charge a laserbeam and then teleport right into you killing you instantly. Third runner-up stupid modifier: Periodic Invulnerability Aura: Monster becomes invincible so you either run away or get delayed constantly while fighting it, giving it a far greater time window of killing you. Even worse when paired with energy shield or regeneration buffs. I understand most of these properties are specifically designed to counter glass-cannon builds or OP ranged builds but could they make it a little less obvious? These modifiers force you to fully adapt your playstyle in an instant or die. Also, I'm not going to build every item around countering just these three disastrous mods or buy mirror-level gear, so don't bother with some witless comment like that. I don't know if something was changed this league but shroud walkers feel even more obnoxious now. Mana drain as well, why do they always seem to be the fastest mobs in the game with that modifier
