Waystone tiers - item level?

Is there a direct connection between waystone tiers and item level? I wonder when/how I should "push" into the next waystone tier or how long I could farm a bit more on Waystone tier 6 for example before changing to 7

Yes map level gives drops with that item level.
65 at tier 1 up to 79 at tier 15 Irradiated provides +1 level. Corruption and cleansed areas can also give +1. |
