Into The Breach skill need to generate Flames closer

Acolyte of Chayula had massive problems previous incarnations and I'd say it's definitely better now but far from what it could be. Darkness is probably still absolute dogwater but Flames of Chayula is intersting especially now that you can remove the two useless ones (yes, the mechanic is still bad).

The major problem is the way it creates remnants near you, or rather how it doesn't. You want Purple flames for the damage boost (nobody will ever care about red and blue, you can just rename the extra node to Purple Power) in boss fights because that's where you need the extra damage, but running around collecting is already a massive opportunity cost and the way it generates is problematic. Stand still for 5 minutes in game with Into The Breach active, see how many Flames manifests near you. They need to generate closer.

A better solution would be to generate LESS Flames but have their bonuses be more significant and last longer. That way you may actually want to consider the two useless ones. Yes I mean red and blue, they are currently useless. The choice node is not a choice, it's a tax like what Blood Mage had previously.

Reviving an old thread here but there are notables on the tree that increase remnant collection radius. There is also a desecrated mod for amulets and rings that do the same thing. I have one in a ring and on my amulet with the notable. Remnants just fly at me from across the screen it’s pretty cool.
