Support Gems Restrictions Still In Place?

Hello!

I quit playing PoE 2 back in January when I discovered that the game restricted me from using the same support gem twice, for instance using Spell Echo Support on both of my two main skills (playing a Cold Sorceress). This was never the case in PoE 1. The ability to fully customize each skill was one of the dealbreakers which led me to fall in love with the game in the first place).

Is this restriction still in place?

It has to be or they would have to limit the amount of links allowed. You have to consider the consequences of allowing same supports for all these six linked skills. It would be a disaster.
