Shattering Thunder, but Chaos (Original Sin) - Acolyte of Chayula

I theorycrafted this build, seems really good in both offensives and defensives. I played it a bit on cheap items and it works.

It's the best Chonk build I made so far (this league).


Shattering Palm is used mostly as a mobility skill as FThunder cleans on its own, but when Power Charges are missing, it is nice to Shattering palm and pop it with Falling even with no PC.

Support gems above the limit of 5 are for swaps on boss or are to be chosen dependent on Crit chance capped or not.
Cast on Crit is twice, but it is one gem with swap for boss/map.

This build idea sounds wild, especially mixing Shattering Thunder with Original Sin mechanics. Did anyone here try mapping out the interactions on path of building first? I’m kinda curious how it scales in practice, especially defensively. Also, how does it feel in actual gameplay — smooth or a bit clunky?

I made the build, but with budget items as I do t play this league anymore (dead trade).

I am convinced that with some attack speed on gloves/staff mapping would be a breeze (it is a bit clunky without any). Bosses are no issue, one shotting.

In Pob I see 720k per Falling projectile on 0 Breach stacks. Doubled with 10 stacks.
Falling shoots 27 projectiles with 9 power charges.

I tried comparing this to invoker with no original sin and damage was about 500k per projectile, similar defensives.
