Chasing items that I might never see is not fun at all

I have been playing the game since day 1 of the EA. Have invested more hours than I would like to admit, especially because I feel that this game haven't payed off those hours, and I am noticing that GGG might actually want this.

After the 0.1 league ended, I decided that I didn't want to start from zero. Why? Because I was missing SO MANY good items, like Headhunter or Ingenuity Belt, that I felt like I wanted to get them before starting a new league. Well, here I am, with thousands of hours invested in clearing all kind of endgame content, including T16 maps and T4 bosses... But I haven't seen a single one of the ''chase items'' of this game. Yet I see them on the trading site.

If this is intended, and all you want is to keep players chasing items they won't get just so they keep playing, that won't work in the long term. I am burnt out. Not from the game itself, but from the meaningless chase of... nothing.
People will move on from your game each league after a month of playing, why not giving players a reason to maybe be keep playing with the items we want? Having the items we want will make us comeback the next league to try to get it again to test it against/with the new content.

You already announced that 0.3 will have exclusive content for the league (which is crazy to think that you are making 4 months leagues in an early access game) so there is no chance for me to maybe wait until patch to keep farming for those items but with the new content added, so you are basically killing the game for me, and a lot of other players, because chat in Standard is very active while people playing DoTH say it is dead.

[Removed by Support] Jonathan is clearly obssesed with creating ''the Elden Ring'' of ARPGs, but ARPG players look for a different experience. If we want Elden Ring, we go and play Elden Ring, this is supposed to be PoE.

But if you are on trade you can just farm enough currency to buy the items and then try them, right?

Dropping them is another thing, usually MF strategies help with that, but is usually expensive to get one running and have defensives as well and not just die to the first mob in a juiced map.

So going for a relatively moderate income strategy to farm for the item (to trade) seems more approachable.

It doesn't need to farm. Just buy some divs from internet and buy what ever you've pleased from the market. So simple so awful...

+1 yep i agree completely. They're so obsessed with souls like games implemented here but this game is a Diablo like game. Such a stubborn attitude .

Trading is not gaming, is... trading! We are supposed to be playing a fantasy character getting more power from monsters and the crafting materials they drop, but this game is ALL about farming currency to buy it from a random guy asking for an astronomic price for it.
Trading looks good for those streamers/dudes no-life playing this game for 14 hours a day.

GGG talked A LOT about how PoE 2 was going to be more ''casual friendly'' trying to sell more keys, but the reality is that the game in its EA already has a ton of complex mechanics involved just to get a decent item, and those items a extremely rare for the average player looking for progression, so we are forced to try trading without success because again: the currency asked for decent items is absurd!

Feels like the company doesn't want regular players. This game is clearly aiming for the streamer/14h hours dialy player. I shouldn't have bought the key or the tabs for this game. This is by far my biggest mistake as a gamer.
