Diablo IV save build feature

In many games, building a character creatively often comes with risk. You might experiment with an idea, only to realize it ruins your gameplay or progression. Sometimes you want to try a new combination of skills or test an idea that comes to mind but doing so can mess up your character and force costly rework.

Diablo 4 solves this with its Build Save feature. It works like a save point between different builds, making it easier to switch. I’ve summarized the details below to highlight its potential and save the trouble of looking.

This system encourages creativity and experimentation with builds. Here are a few key ideas:
- The player's inventory must be empty to swap items into the stash automatically.
- The stash is used to store all gear tied to a build, preserving aspects, gems, and item configuration.
- Each character has at least 5 build slots to save and swap setups freely.

Diablo IV feature
each Armory Loadout stores:
- Equipment (including socketed gems and aspects)
- Active & Passive Skills
- Paragon Boards, Glyphs, and Nodes
- Skill Tree configuration and Hotbar setup
You get five loadout slots per character, and switching between them is completely free—no gold cost.

- To Save: Equip your desired gear, set up your skills and paragon board, then open the Armory and hit Save on an empty slot.
- To Load: Select a saved loadout and press Load—your character instantly switches to that build.

Limitations to Keep in Mind
- Items must be in your stash or inventory to be saved.
- If you modify an item (e.g., change aspects), it updates the saved loadout.
- Items in a loadout are marked with a small icon; deleting them removes them from the build.

I don't like this idea. What they need to do is increase the cost of respect, because right now it's a joke how cheap it is to do. And the fact that people are still complaining about it is a sign that it's not even worth listening to them.

what is the issue here it will not impact you.

some people like to try the new combination and they have thier own games and soon we will have personal leagues as well.

this is quality of life. it could as well cost me for the change I will pay the bill but I don't want to loss the ability to play the game and west 3 hours just to get back to the game

It will impact everyone, especially economy. That's one of the many reasons it have to be hard to reroll especially 70lv+. The more your choices matter, the more stable everything is.

Next time you will make a new character if you want experiment weird things. You don't destroy your currency maker. I learned it hard way too.
It's not Diablo 4, that you make one character for all content.

the issue on this it will take me a lot of time to finish the acts and than you need to map for the exter points witch is more time , I don't want to be all in one as it is not diablo yet at least for the same characto.

we already can do this the only issue is the time to do and redo the things
they can keep putinng the cost and I will be happy to do it I just would have saved the time to do my actual work

this is just quality of life feature to save the time
I still need to have the following

- the cost of the changes
- the stashes to save the items and not to destroy it
- core of the character
- and for sure I can't be using it onn other characters.
everything in poe 2 but graphic is 20 years old
D4 is an AMIDPG not an ARPG. At this point why even have classes? make it full sandbox with class swaps, it would def go along with the times...

also the respec should cost way more than currently. Cheap respecs like this don't belong in PoE or any complex game that require more effort to work out issues. If you can simply respec at will you will not be pushing yourself to overcome such hurdles and always swap to most 'efficient' setup. which would destroy build diversity. terrible idea.

+1

And... Diablo IV only has good production quality. Nothing else in Diablo IV is good. Campaign is 5h, bosses are bs, full of bugs, skills are boring, etc. Nothing to do in D4 after day 1. Dawn of the Hunt ending, I am still playing HC SSF with 3 characters ladder toppers. Maybe will even level up more. On D4 I was #1 hardcore ladder necro, #4 on race to 100, so not just some random noob opinion. Stop listening to people. Make the game hard again. Make choices matter, too! And... Bane, Blight and Void Sphere WHEN? xD
HC SSF. What else? Ruthless when?
I think your all missing the point here.

I am challenging you. the game it self gives these chooses.
I am talking about quality of life to enhance the opportunity of me and many others whom do they jobs and got some time for playing we need these saving time is not a challenging at all we can do it but than we have wasted time that I rather not to risk the time and stick on my just best character
You can do this on POB by importing your character and saving the build. Make any changes you want and then test them out, have a slate to easily rebuild.

Can also just test in POB itself to see if your theory is close to correct. If your EHP and DPS go down, it's probably a bad change.
