[PS5] Mercenary Split Item failed on item with memory strands, beasts lost, no split items received

I just attempted to 3-Split a 27% quality chest piece with 6 modifiers at the Blood Altar and 39 memory strands.
The Altar battle started, I won the fight. Result: Both beasts including Black Morrigan for ritual were consumed. I received my original item in the box, unchanged, no split tag no evidence that anything was done at all. No copies on the ground. No warning that it would not split. TL;DR: expensive Split allowed me to attempt the ritual, but consumed my materials with no result. Zuletzt angestoßen am 18.07.2025, 03:29:49

No filter, it's a 26% quality Twilight Regalia at item level 86. I also double checked with L3, and my item dies not have the Split tag. The Altar simply failed and used my ritual up.
