Annoying interact distance issue with mtx map device

With Bronze Timekeeper's Map Device my character can be stood close to the highlight to interact, the x button prompt is there, but nothing happens when pressing x unless I move even closer.

I essentially have to be stood directly on top of the interact, the distance is much closer than anything else in the game needs me to be.

If it is supposed to be that close, then the button prompt should not appear when it does nothing.

Interact distance is different to last league.
