3.26 Volcanic Fissure of Snaking low DPS

Hi everyone

I'm a relatively new player to PoE and I played a bit in the Phrecia league and managed to get to red maps. This is the first league I'm playing from the beginning and i went with a Volcanic fissure of snaking build.

I managed to get through some yellow maps but I noticed my damage was not great on some mods and in tier 8+. I've now compared my DPS to few creators POB's and their DPS is triple or quadruple what I have at a similar point (even earlier if I look at Fubgun's "entering maps" loadout.

I know that if I use a better axe at this stage (Kaom's primacy) that could almost double my DPS by there is still a reasonably big gap and i wanted to understand if I'm missing something obvious or slightly more nuanced.

lots of stuff here to improve

your weapon is very very undertuned for yellows. you can buy a 650+ pdps axe for 5c

get a dmg link in your volcanic fissue, or swap to life tap

put mana leech with infernal cry, combust will trigger leech

put autoexertion on almost all your warcries (EXCEPT ENDURING/rallying, you want to cast these manually)

not sure why you are supporting herald of purity making its reservation alot higher, you do not have minion damage nodes

2.7k life means you will die alot

missing 3rd/4th labs, huge dps for berserker


get 100+ life on all pieces of gear, can buy stuff very cheap 1-5c now

using 3x life flasks and a white quicksilver. get a granite flask, source of onslaught etc

use fist of war over pulverize to avoid negative attack speed penalties





my advice: pick a mechanic that seems fun (strong boxes, harbinger, expedition, betryal, legion etc) and do that in white tier maps

collect chaos, pop corn currency, and liquidate it all to buy good yellow tier mapping gear

redo your links and colouring as well

Trying to build volcanic fissure of snaking, finished campaign reached t1 t2 maps but struggle with survivability, running sunder at the moment dont have gem. Tried to cape resistances. Only chaos ress still low but getting killed retty often. Please maybe could someone look at my character and twll me how to improve? New weapon gear etc ? And btw 2nd ascendancy points tell i get rage on hit but i get only endurqnce charges. Do i need to put rage gem? Thats why i dont get rage? My acc is coronyto#9419. , 75lvl McC berserker.
