Chaos dot build, low dmg?

Hi. trying a chaos dot build, but dmg is quite low. Im lich-witch, i have all nodes in chaos dmg (exept the one with +53 dmg but cost ES), 6.5k ES, 1.5K life, level 82. The build im using is quite simular to the one on mobalytics site, i have 5 to chaos spell dmg on wand, 2 to all spells on focus, and 3 on talisman, runing lvl 18 gems, i think its lvl 29 on ED. Using ing belt and chaos dmg on rings, maxed res on all including chaos. Going double totems etc.

But..i cant even clear the mobs on T1 Xesht..boss dmg sucks and hard to clear braches on t15. any got a decent build that may work? not sure what im doing wrong.

edit. lvl 30 on ED, 27 on Contaigon and 28 on despair, 29 on Dark effigy.

You cannot really scale dot damage, so you scale dark effigy dmg by pumping up your cast speed. Other builds on mobalytics mention it only as quality of life feature, when in reality it is crucial for having any decent damage.

Thank you Hopfenu. impressed! This build was better petermind, t3 xesht down for me 2 now, lvl 90 char.

i have geared up, and one shotted all trash with ed realy fast before switch. This build works better vs the bosses now, and i dont need clear maps with DE still, im only using it for bosses and some rare.

cast speed on rings and inquenity belt did wonders.

so now for T4 then, but it seems i still struggle with the mobs up until boss.

Yes, breach is really hard for this build, mobs are spawning super fast and doesn’t matter how good your gear is, there will always be a delay between placing a totem and dealing actual damage. I had a similar build to Ky and could do breach t3, king of the mists t4 and simulacrum t3. I switched to coc spark blood mage which is much better, but super expensive. Depending how much currency you have and how far do you want to bring your build, you can potentially buy a prism of belief with +3 to dark effigy. Get a 21 lvl dark effigy gem (+1 lvl corruption). Make sure you have enough mana regen on gear and tree to sustain your high level spells (which is not easy). Good luck!

T4 done 3 times now. I acctualy went + on ED instead, found a cheap (?) +3 on ed. I went all in + on area effect and didnt take the totem + low life build. I still use DE on xescht, but it seems that with all nodes on area effect, the spread works for ED

DE is nice, but i like the ED playstyle more. Probably takes some more time on bosses, but breaches is now realy fun, mostly dot one mob, then just run around doing nothing and follow the expansion of the ring:-)

havent tried other bosses, but dont like simul as im using unearth as meatshield, wont work there.
