Parry skill wording question and feedback - interaction with evasion

Greetings. I'm playing a huntress and I am very concerned with the wording of the Parry mechanic definition. From the skill tooltip section for Parry:

"You cannot Evade a Hit you could parry, but Evasion instead grants an equal
chance to avoid this Heavy Stun buildup."

When I interpret this literally, it sounds like if I equip a buckler that grants the Parry skill and I do not parry a hit that I could parry (for example if I don't even try to parry a parryable attack, but instead just stand there), then my Evasion rating would effectively be zero and I only have the buckler's passive block chance and my Armour rating's physical damage mitigation remaining before I get hit.

Is this the intended result of wearing a buckler, or should it be reworded to say something more accurate if eliminating Evasion is not the intent?

Did you ever find an answer for this question? I have the same concern about the wording of the Parry tooltip.
Use a scepter. Parry bad. 🤣
HC SSF. What else? Ruthless when?
