Portals randomly disappeared

Not sure if this is the proper place to report this, but during a map, I portaled back to hideout to clear my inventory, and while dumping items into the stash, my portals randomly disappeared. The atlas showed "map in progress" so I relogged and then it showed "map attempted" as if I failed the map.

Is this just an instance crash that's been happening to everyone on EU servers, and I just happened to portal out to at least keep my inventory of items?

Just happened again when i stepped out for a trade and lost my map :(
