Do you have your spear out?
If you're using controller, the inventory UI doesn't have anything to reflect which weapon set is active. |

I'm having this issue too, with both spirit and spell kills (+5 lightning spell skills wand, +72 spirit scepter)... is it a controller and not keyboard mouse issue? I just switched from controller to KM settings and it worked, with gear in the exact same slots as before... why does controller use come with so many disadvantages =( the real question is this is actually affecting the value of my damage ingame if I were to now switch back to controller from KM.
Here's what I've found: in order for spell skills to show up correctly on controller, things need to be in slot 2... but then the DPS doesnt show up on the spell, that only happens when you have equipment in Slot 1, BUT then you get the old spell skill levels. on keyboard and mouse, both show up correctly when you just use the single slot as well, spirit is being miscalculated I am using archmage, blink, and mana remnants . I have 335 spirit , my chest has 56 spirit and my wand has 172 spirit, its a malice scepter with 55 spirit roll and +17 spirit corruption. my neck has 47 spirit. so 56+172+47 = 275. blink + archmage + mana remnants = 60 + 100 + 30 spirit = 190, so I am way over spirit cap. I use 2 spirit gems, for at most 20 more spirit. I have enough spirit. but then when I switch to keyboard it shows me I have a deficit of spirit, so I can't blink, but when I switch to k&m I can blink just fine without changing anything, simply by going to char select and changing my input and reloading into hideout... devs need to please fix this stuff on the controller UI!!! it literally breaks the game also, am I the only one that is crazy, and can you not put Ingenuity on Blink in controller mode but I CAN put it on blink in K&M!?!?!? I have tried unequipping secondary weapons even with no passives set to secondary weapon set it persists.
I have tried different wands with +fire and fire skills still get no benefit. No skill or element type gets any + benefits what so ever. |

" The question is still "what weapon set are you on?" You aren't swapped back to weapon set 1 just because you unequipped gear in weapon set 2. If you are on weapon set 2, then your'd only see the + to skills if you swapped back to weapon set 1 or if you moved the wand to weapon set 2. If you close your inventory, you should be able to tell which weapon set is active based on the weapon your character is wielding. The display on the controller UI's inventory screen always shows them wielding weapon set 1, and thus is not necessarily accurate. I tried troubleshooting this before with someone who was on PS5, and it didn't seem like skills set to only weapon set 1 were swapping them from set 2 to set 1. You'd probably have to use the skill the wand gives, or bind the Weapon Swap action to a button and use that. |

The problem has become an obvious bug now. I am watching the + modifiers drop from every skill once I simply swap weapons in my inventory slots.
I swap my spear for my wand, the skill modifiers go up, I cast any spell....they drop again. I place weapons in opposite slots again in my inventory...the modifiers come back. I have no weapon set points assigned. I have refunded every passive point and removed all gear then built the character back....the problem persists and is repeatable 100% |

" I feel like there's a bit of misunderstanding on what I mean when I refer to weapon sets. I'm not referring to anything on the passive tree, such as passives allocated for only one weapon set. Only one weapon set is active at a time. One weapon set is active, in hand, being wielded and contributing to your stats. The other weapon set is inactive, holstered, not adding to your stats. When you are wielding your wand, you are benefitting from the +skill levels. When you are wielding your spear, you do not see the +skill levels because you are not wielding your wand. " You had your spells set to use only weapon set 1, it seems. When you swapped your wand to weapon set 2, you saw its modifiers because weapon set 2 was active. When you cast a spell set for only weapon set 1, the modifiers were dropped because using the skill set you back on weapon set 1--so you were wielding your spear. |
