Really Struggling with Maps

I've been playing since early access launch. I've been trying to enjoy playing through maps but it really feels like I hit a wall after I beat the campaign. I'm playing Lightning Spear Amazon and I just cant reliably get through a rare tier 2 or 3 map. I usually get stunned locked and can't actually play the game. I know my gear is terrible but I can't get any more to drop.

I just don't even know how to progress to higher tier maps.

Well, I find it a bit surprising that you're struggling with a meta build.
If you're getting stun-locked, it's probably a positioning issue—especially since we're talking about a ranged build here.

To give you some rough guidance (since I can’t go into detail without seeing your character), here are a few low-cost suggestions that might help improve your setup:

- If you’re not using it already, I highly recommend Tangletongue. Prices start around 50 exalts, but with a bit of luck, you might find one much cheaper—some are even listed for just 1 chaos!

- For your rings, try to get at least two lines of flat damage (this will give a big boost to your DPS) and/or some accuracy.

If possible, aim for a ring base that provides some resistance—it always helps.

- Gloves can also be a solid source of flat damage, and they’re great for balancing your elemental resistances.

At this point in the game, the trickiest part is often just finding someone willing to trade for a few exalts.

Also, if you're stuck in the early map tiers, don’t try to push higher too soon. Stick to the tier you're comfortable with (even white maps if needed) and focus on league mechanics.
Breach is probably the most accessible one early on.
Even without optimized farming, you should be able to collect 10–15 splinters per map. Stack them up, sell the breachstones, and use the currency to upgrade your gear.

Take it step by step. If you're struggling in tier 1/2/3 maps, don't try to rush—just build up steadily.
