Living weapon doesn’t apply barbs on hits

I can socket barbs into it but it doesn’t trigger it. Either make it unsocketable or have it do the proper damage. It’s frustrating when the game says something should work but it in fact does not.

So does your minion has noticeable thorns damage it retaliated with, but the damage doesn't apply to the next attacks, or you just expected the minion would deal your thorns damage after you retaliate?

The minion does not use the thorns damage at all as far a I can tell. It’s a thorns build and hits like a truck but I have tested it and it does not appear to be hitting with the thorns damage, or possibly is but not with modifiers. Whatever the case the damage output does not match what it would be from any other source.
