Horrible CPU Spikes Again But Only In DX12 - Vulkan Super Smooth
Hey guys, I suddenly have the crazy CPU lag spikes again. This was a problem already in PoE1 with especially some older CPU's suffering from it.
So far I didn't notice it in PoE2 really, especially not after upgrading from my 3800x to a 5700x. Today however ( i haven't played a lot recently ) it is really crazy. The spikes are somewhat periodic when it happens, though it's not not constantly happening. Especially when shader compilation also kicks in the game is a complete stutterfest right now. I tried to switch to Vulkan renderer, and with that the CPU graph is completely smooth. Also, when shader compilation happens, it stays completely smooth and playable at a steady 60fps. Another difference is that the CPU graph always sits at 15ms with Vulkan, while on DX12 it's between 6-8 with nothing going on, 12-15 with fighting and the crazy spikes going to the 40-50s causing severe stuttering. Did you just update to 576.28 on the 30th. was it happening prior?

Still on the same drive, but it seems to have fixed itself and is now working well again like it did before. Crazy CPU spikes also mostly gone again. No idea what it was, but I'm now back on DX12 and it works fine again. There are some maps which seem to still need some optimizations, mostly in endgame, but generally speaking it's solved I guess.
