Skills do not work, weapon slots are bugged, frustrating to play (and not fun).

Cast on Freeze(comet,impetus,energy retention) will not trigger, have minimum level, spirit, stats, etc. Skill shows enabled on button mapping screen, and I am constantly freezing entire screen, never activates.
Have wand and shield, and wanted to try focus. Focus has + levels to skills, but they do not show correctly when equipped in slot 1, only when equipped in slot 2. Put shield in slot 2 and now I can't switch back to slot 1 as it it's stats will only register equipped in slot 2. I have strength attribute on shield and stat increases when equipped in slot 2, but does strength does not increase when shield is equipped in slot 1.
Wand now only shows added skill levels and attributes equipped in slot 2 as well, and it never changed. How are we supposed to try new things and experiment if core skills and basic equipping items doesn't function? I was giving the reset a try, but at this point I'm about done.
