Simulacrum_death on respawn

Opened a Simulacrum and got to wave 10.
On wave 10 I died and haw a few respawns available.
The mobs were all right at the respawn checkpoint. Every time I respawned it was instant death. Is this normal?

Similar thing happened to me. Wave boss would 1 shot me before I could even move my character and lost most of my respawns. Weird that they gave the boss unlimited attempts at difficulty 0 but not the waves, especially when cheese can just end the run.

I just experienced this. Hot garbage mob stunlocked garbage. Get this shit out the game.
