Raging Spirits + Last Gasp

I've seen this on a few builds and I'm confused. Can Raging Spirits actually die? I thought they just expired.

Allow me to clear your confusion:

Enemies will not directly engage these Minions, and can pass through them.


This means that monsters will not attack them on purpose. You wont have a monster intentionally using skill or autoing RS.

This DOES NOT mean that RS are invulnerable. "Accidental" damage will totally wipe them out, and lets be honest - POE 2 has tons of this crap.

Expiration has nothing to do with damage.

Last gasp allows you to keep your RS alive, when something one-shots them.

And considering you summon 2 per cast, and the alternative is to cast 5 times to re-summon them...

I guess that makes sense, but I still don't think I buy putting Last Gasp on them is a better idea than the minions I can't directly summon and who do get attacked.

If a Spirit activates Last Gasp, are they still beholden to the original 5 second timer or is the additional 4 seconds guaranteed?

Lets be clear.

The witch in 0.1.0 was SRS. The little permanent shits were just arrow fodder.
All until late game mapping. All you had to do is walk, cast fire wall, walk, cast fire wall and so on.

Sure when you sink 1000 spirit into your arsonist they did good job.
But it was just because their number. If you could scale SRS not a single person would deal with this perma-minions bullshit.

SRS was summoners bread and butter.

And those "directors", in their unmatched incompetence, tried to change this.
Despite all the posts on the forum, that it will be terrible.

I mean, every single person with 1 alive brain cell have seen it.

And they cut the life of monster by 25%, (understand 33% dmg buff)...
Then they buffed minion dps additionally almost double.
And then they buffed life.
And then they buffed respawn.

I mean how can anyone be that OFF when balancing and not listening to anyone?

Okay now you can play her. But you still need the SRS.
And you need SRS up and dealing damage while everyone is respawning.

You are picking minion damage from the tree, your own DPS is lacking. You have to have those minions alive 24/7. And how you do this when every second AOE hit wipes all your minions off? Where is you DPS then?

So you shove this gem into your SRS and make it your bread and butter again.
Simple as that.
Do you want me to recommend you another character and build that would feel like the old witch?
