Server Region Change Not Working on PS5
This bug was already fixed before, but it seems to have returned in 0.2.0.
Changing the server region in the game settings does not create new instances in the selected region. I was playing on Frankfurt, but decided to switch to Milan due to lag. After logging back into my hideout (which was still on Frankfurt, as expected), I launched a new map. Upon entering the portal, it was created on Frankfurt despite having just set my region to Milan. A friend on PC tried the same and had it work correctly (i.e. the new map was created on Milan). So this seems to be a PS5/console bug. Zuletzt angestoßen am 07.09.2025, 17:22:04

I’m not sure, but it seems that after changing the gateway, it takes some time before you’re actually connected to the new one and able to play the game through it. I’m not certain how long it takes. When I check immediately after switching, it still shows the old server. But when I check again a few hours later without changing anything, it appears to have updated.

Yes, but this is not the intended behavior, or the behavior present on PC. Changing the gateway is meant to create all new instances on the selected region.

Bumping this topic because this bug is still not fixed.
I was experiencing lag on the Amsterdam server, so I decided to switch the region to Frankfurt. However, even after changing the gateway in the login screen, all newly opened maps were still created on Amsterdam. After I returned to the game a few hours later, I was on Frankfurt. I suspect the hideout instance remaining on the original server (which is of course the intended behavior) somehow makes new maps also be created on the same region. So after leaving the game and letting the hideout instance time out, the correct gateway is used when logging back in. |
