Are SSF and Trade League chats separate now?

Ever since the start of the event I have not been able to see almost any global chat messages while playing SSF

Created a trade league toon and, sure enough, the chat is active plenty.

Is this an unintended change similar to what occurred in POE 2? Can we revert back to a single chat, please? Community is small enough already.
