Too much RNG - Crafting, Towers, Citadel Mapping, etc.
This game has way too much RNG where it feels like the player has no agency.
1. Crafting - You are basically slamming the different currencies to randomly get shit tier rolls assigned on your level82 gear 2. When you insert tablets in the towers, you can't pick which maps to get the events and it always goes to random maps furthest away from your current tower 3. When pathing to citadels, you might find that there is a big fucking river right in the middle. When you try to go around, the map node can end which is unbelievable. I wasted so many hours going towards a citadel, stopped by river, and trying to go around I found that the map node ended and I had to backtrack and go a different way. Very long detour 4. Rituals - Completely random to find an audience with the king. I've done over 40 ritual maps and still nothing 5. " Or on the worst maps to have the events on, e. g. breaches on "Augury". I agree, you should be able to at least pick which maps get the mods... " I had a 100+ map detour to make it to the citadel right next to where I was, not counting the ones I wasted looking in the other direction only to find the way was blocked there, too. The atlas map system really needs an overhaul. I think if they want to keep it that way, they should simply let the players chose where the paths go from the map they just completed... |
