Some experiences
I'm giving up on this game!
The game has a lot of pointless design on the difficulty. For example, the map has a lot of small, unreadable obstacles mixed in with the complexity of the screen that hinder positioning and rolling. Monsters are too fond of using skills that restrict movement and affect terrain. On the one hand the game requires the player to fight Dark Souls style with maneuvering and skill, but the monsters' restrictions on the terrain and all the obstacles in the terrain itself are totally hampering the player's maneuvering and forcing the player to raise the value . I think the two demands, maneuvering and numerical values, have essentially constituted a contradiction. Too few record points, all monsters refreshing when you die, and having to replay long stretches of the area every time you die can be troubling on today's difficulty. The convoys in chapter 2 in particular have very little room for maneuvering, and the monsters are so precisely coordinated that I feel like they're the player characters. Regardless of difficulty, I'd be stuck at a record point for hours on end of gameplay (which meant a week or two straight). Additionally the monk character is a very frustrating gameplay experience. I don't know if it's just monks, or if it's the same for fighters: the current game mechanics are very unfriendly to melee characters. The monsters have a much larger attack range than I do (they're twice my height and carry spears, which perhaps does make perfect sense from a realism point of view) and there are a lot of monsters using long range attacks that are coordinated in the background, and the melee characters have much less range and fewer attacks than the long range characters, and at the same time they don't do a lot of damage either. I know it's pretty stupid as a player to complain about things like the game being too hard, it just makes me look like a weakling. But this time it's not my fault. You can't ask for both player skill and character values . This difficulty doesn't make it fun because it doesn't present a challenge, it just makes me keep restarting and going from one record point to the next basically relying entirely on luck (if the refreshed minions don't form a full battle party). It makes it feel like you're just wasting your life. Zuletzt angestoßen am 13.02.2025, 10:48:50
