Breach Scarring

Can breaches leave something behind when they go away, like a burn mark on the ground. After a breach completes, I go back and pick things up, and if I had a way of knowing for sure where the breach was, it would help me be more confident that I got everything.

Your loot filter should give you all the valuable info you need as they mark valuable items you can get.
If your talking about rare gear, base, blue. You can just fill your inventory with Alva. It take a whole lot less time and is basicly the same. Unless your map is hyper juiced with quantity and rarity in wich case, you shouldn't have problems filling up your inventory more time than you have portals depending on how much of a hoarder you are. |

Do loot filters mark the mini map? Otherwise I don't know how that is helping me find where I came from.

It mark loot drops, not the breach per say. But since it's the loot you want anyway, it's what you should be looking for.
