My list of Improvements needed
1) End game maps and predetermining what content they have through precursors doesn't quite work. Mainly because you are often forced to run maps that have ZERO content in them which is generally a waste of your time. At least not fun. POE1 mapping was often fun because you discovered many things in your maps. Eventually you could force things in 100%, but there was always a chance of various mechanics appearing. This is similar to the design philosophy of items dropping unidentified. Maps are 'dropping' identified, and you're forced to run some with zero content.
2) If you do keep precursors, please just let them drop with a prefix/suffix already on them. 3) Scarabs could easily replace Towers. Have a scarab that reveals X distance around a completed map. 4) Put map bosses in EVERY map. Once the boss is killed, map is considered complete for progressing in the Atlas. Players can make the choice to hunt down extra rare monsters or content if they choose to. 5) All breach splinters in a breach drop at the end of the breach in one god damn place. 6) ability to pin or bookmark locations on your atlas, preferably with a custom label. 7) I'm personally okay with not being able to choose your base map type. I do like the variety. That said, there are a few maps in both POE1 and 2 that after I run once for completion credit I never want to see again. Dungeon, Maze in POE1. Vaal Factory in 2. I will go around Vaal Factory to avoid running it. The ability to reroll the base map, maybe to something else within the biome would be good. Another scarab opportunity?
