Chance orbing a stellar amulet and amulet disappers

I have now tried to chance orb two stellar amulets and both times the amulet just disappeared from my inventory. Not sure what could cause this, but there is an issue.

works as intended. either you get a unique or you don't.

As mentioned above, this is how Orbs of Chance work in POE2.

It says directly on the text of the currency item that it will destroy the item if it does not produce a unique:

"

Unpredictably either upgrades a Normal item to Unique rarity or destroys it

If it is not possible for the base item to be transformed into a unique, it will instead provide an error message that the item cannot increase in rarity (e.g., there is no unique for that base or the unique cannot be chanced as it drops from a boss).
