I'm new to the path of exile game. I was really enjoying myself and I want too keep loving the game. But after level 70 and up the XP loss and no real reward for leveling. I don't understand why I have to grind for hours, lose my gains then to reach the next level just to get 1 passive point. For the challenge and time input the reward just isn't there for me. Why not 2 points after a certain level? the tree is massive. If you focus to hard on a damage build or a defense build there's no real balance. You have to invest fully in one to reap the rewards. C'mon man, give me more passives when I level! make me want to keep leveling this game is awesome.

No. Not from level 70. but something around 85-90.

95+ xp loss is isane. One death and you don't feel like playing the game anymore. I'm still in the game cause my friends are still playing, but honestly, I just wanna drop until a major update or when they address this issue and let us make progress passing 90+.
btw Friends are starting to think the same. droping the game. and I guess many people feel the same way, just look at the charts of active players , is droping more and more. At the end it could be just like POE1, just a bunch of players that defends those mechanics. but anyway, was good while it last.

You mean like level 87?

You can probably go from 70 to 71 in a single map.

If you're dying a lot you need to either stop juicing the maps, lower the tier, or buy better gear, or do all three until you get to around 85-92, at which point yes, the XP penalty reduces the desire to level.
