Game Freezing/Crashing during initial zone load-in

During my last two game start attempts, I have been experiencing hard crashes after selecting my character on the character select screen, when it attempts to load the initial zone (in my case, Act 3 Ziggurat town).

These have only recently started happening. Last night, I got a memory error, but was able to load in upon restarting the game. Today, I have had multiple crashes to desktop when the game is on the loading screen for Ziggurat on initial start up.

I was able to get the game to load in on the 4th attempt, but the other attempts were the same pattern. Character Select -> Load Screen/Freeze -> Crash To Desktop

I have had absolutely zero crashes or issues up until the most recent patch. Now the game seems to consistently crash on first attempted start up and will take several attempts to get in.

This is also happening with me, before the patch it was worse due to general PC freezing. Now is only crashing the game.

Same here. Sometimes at the loading screen or other times loading a level. I crash 4-6 times per hour. Yes that means I crash about 50% of the time when loading.

The ONLY thing that seems to prevent it is to disable engine multithreading before you load a new area. That's the only way I'm able to play really.
