The Copper Citadel - No shield from NPC while fightning the last boss

So i nuked the last boss in my Copper Citadel to 60% where he start casting the "Storm/Winds" and your follower NPC is suppose to create the "Shield/wall" to dodge the storm damage. She never did and instead kept attacking the boss?

Im pritty defensive with 15k hp and so on the storm did not oneshot me.. even after i died she was still just fightning the boss while the storm was still happening..

Had the same happen 2 times in a row now. Quite annoying to lose this much exp due to bugged out NPC.
